About Troop 105

Troop 105 is a vibrant, youth‑led Scouts BSA troop serving Pembroke, Massachusetts and the surrounding South Shore community.

We believe Scouting is at its best when young people take the lead, learn by doing, and grow through meaningful adventure.

Who We Are

Troop 105 is made up of Scouts from a wide range of backgrounds, supported by trained adult volunteers who guide, mentor, and ensure a safe and inclusive environment. Our troop culture is welcoming, energetic, and built on respect — every Scout has a place here, and every family is part of the journey.

What We Do

Our program blends outdoor adventure, leadership development, service, and skill‑building. Throughout the year, Scouts participate in:

  • Monthly campouts and outdoor skills challenges
  • Leadership opportunities through the Patrol Method and PLC
  • Community service projects that make a real impact
  • Advancement and merit badge exploration
  • Team‑building games, hands‑on learning, and troop traditions
  • Summer camp and high‑adventure opportunities

Every activity is designed to help Scouts grow in confidence, character, and capability.

Our Approach

Troop 105 follows a youth‑led model, where Scouts plan, lead, and evaluate their own program with adult support. This approach teaches responsibility, communication, teamwork, and resilience — skills that last far beyond Scouting.

We also prioritize family engagement, ensuring caregivers feel informed, welcomed, and connected to the troop community.

Our Commitment

We are committed to creating a troop where every Scout:

  • Feels included, supported, and encouraged
  • Learns through challenge and adventure
  • Contributes to their community
  • Develops leadership skills through real responsibility
  • Has fun while growing into their best self

Troop 105 helps young people discover who they are and who they can become — one adventure at a time.

The guiding ideals of Troop 105 are based on the Mission of Scouting America: to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Scout Oath

On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.

Scout Law

A Scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent
